Shortest Month Long on Crafting!

I can't believe there's only a week left in February, and I have not updated my projects.  It's been a busy month!

Have a few valentine chocolates as we work our way through.

... but watch out for pirates!

Hey, the boat needed a captain.

But that got me searching for 'pirate patterns' and that means I found others.

Looks just like me and Steve, right?
I was pleasantly surprised with how straightforward the pattern for this pair was in the end.  (Sometimes toy patterns with a lot of pieces can be overly complicated and poorly explained.)

Each bear is about 12 inches tall.  Perfect snuggle size.

I also had fun making this mini TARDIS as part of a pattern writing challenge.

Steve and I have become Dr. Who fans, watching the old David Tennant (10th Doctor) episodes on dvd.

It's really hard to describe, but it's kind of like Star Trek, Twilight Zone and X-Files all twisted together.  They are funnier the second time around though - he speaks so quickly sometimes the best lines are hard to catch!

Last but not least on the 'toy' front are these Star Wars ships.  They need some florist wire to help the wings keep their shape, but you get the idea!

Here's the parade of sweaters and shawls for the month...

And of course, the parade of hats!

Ha!  Nice try Christy... the super cool hat is not here yet!  :oP

  4. Thanks.

My secret is knowing how to follow directions. lol I'd like to say they all came out of my wild imagination, alas, most of them came from other people's patterns!

  6. Gotcha! lol

It's interesting that the sweater is a circle, but once it's on, it naturally creates the right shape. I think next time I'll put the sleeves a bit closer together, but not a bad first go!
