We finally replaced the family tables we gave to Amanda... and it's wider... and looked empty. This is definitely not your Grandma's doily! (Well, unless you are one of my grandsons.)
I made a couple of bags, one in QR code for Doctor Who fans (if it doesn't scan easily, hold your scanner a little to the right of the image).
And another for Cars Land! It goes nicely with my wallet, don't you think?
I made a baby girl blankie to give away at the hospital when little Brayden is born...
And, I still had a little time to score a Quidditch goal for The Mighty Hufflepuffs.
Ummm... yes.. that is a week's worth of work. So, multiply that by 12 or so and you'll know what I've been doing the last few months! ;o)
good grief! I am in AWE of your crochet projects!
ReplyDeleteAnd what happened to your ankles, etc? [[[ hugs! ]]]
Thanks Dana!
ReplyDeleteIt's nothing new, its just that in my old age, the spasticity associated with my cerebral palsy diagnosis from childhood is catching up with me. When I was more active, I could ignore it better! :oP
I hope your recovery is going strong, it is a few weeks after your last post. I too am laid up at the moment having had both feet operated on for joint issues. During my time recuperating I did something I have always wanted to do, learn to crochet!! I love it much more then knitting (which I was never very good at, simple plain patterns). Anyway I am attempting to crochet one of your gift bags but am having a hard time understanding how I get 50sc total in Round 1. Could you perhaps help me with this? I also do not understand how one 3sc in first sc! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for my delay! Tax season is my busiest time at work. *sigh*
DeleteI am so glad you are learning to crochet!
If you are still stuck, let me know. You can also check the link in the upper right of this page for "crochet stitch tutorials". I have a quick video of sc increases there that may help.
Best of luck to you!
I just opened up a new group on Ravelry called "Just for Fun - Crochet Q&A" where folks can puzzle these sorts of questions out together!
