Steve and I grew up watching Clint Eastwood's movies with this enigmatic character... a bit on the fringe of society but with his own strong personal sense of right and wrong (which may not be the same as anyone else's!).
While watching one of the movies recently I had the brilliant idea to make his iconic serape and 4,000 yards later...
I had to use acrylic yarn, so it has more 'droop' than it should, but I think it's close!
The pattern is from Vickie Howell's Pop Goes Crochet!
Just add the crocheted beard and he's all set!

ReplyDeleteLooks awesome! What yarn did you use to match the color?
ReplyDeleteAnd I'd love to see the pattern for this so my wife can make me one!
ReplyDeleteI used Red Heart Soft yarn because it's what was available at my local shop, but really, any chocolate brown and creamy beige would work.
DeleteThe pattern is from a book I bought on Amazon: Vickie Howell's Pop Goes Crochet! I've edited my post above to include a link.
I'm glad you like it!
